159 US dollars
Ocoee, FL 11/12/2024

Service Description

This 8-hour class is a basic course designed to teach the attendess about the courtroom process. Law Enforcement Officers, Crime Scene Investigators, Laboratory personnel, Records personnel, Evidence personnel and anyone who is new to testifying will benefit from this class. Even those who are just entering the field, still in college will learn valuable skills in this class. The idea of having to testify often leads to self-doubt and anxiety commonly associated with the unknown factor of the courtroom. We aim to remove much of the unknown. In this class the student is introduced to each of the key people in a courtroom and to the courtroom itself. Students will be taught courtroom etiquette, addressing the judge, attorneys and most importantly, the jury. Additionally, the class will be provided with an overview of ways to prepare themselves and their work product for the courtroom experience. Witnesses are often the key to a successful prosecution. Agencies wishing to help their new employees, and the employees themselves, who have no, or minimal, testifying experience would benefit from attending this class as we take the mystery out of the courtroom experience. This class has been approved by the IAI for 8 credit hours for certification or recertification in crime scene, 8 hours of recertification in Footwear, and 8 hours of certification in Ten Print and Bloodstain Pattern Analysis.
