This 40 hour class will be useful for anyone who recently started their career as a crime scene investigator.  However those who have been in the field for a while may find it helpful as well as a way to hone up on some skills.  Topics covered include proper documentation of a crime scene through note taking, sketches and crime scene photography, techniques for locating, marking and collecting evidence, proper evidence packaging procedures to include the use of PPE and how to use it, basic concepts for processing for fingerprints as well as DNA collection.  In addition we will touch on topics such as footwear and tire wear documentation and collection, documentation of bloodstain evidence, and lastly we will discuss preparation for and actual testimony procedures.
