FAQS

  • Is there a financial perk for hosting a course?
Aside from not paying for lodging and travel, agencies that host one of our courses receive one free registration per nine paying students attending the course.
  • How do I let you know I want to host a course?
Once you have determined which course you wish to host, simply contact us at Info@csiforensicfoundations.com. We will discuss with you what we ask of our hosts and a timetable for the class.
  • What kind of training location is needed?
Some courses are classroom based and some courses require a larger facility for a large-scale mock crime scene. We will happily discuss the type of location when we speak with you.
  • Is there a minimum number to students required to hold a class?
Unfortunately, yes. While we would love to able to provide training even in a small group, it is not cost effective. Each course we offer has a minimum number of students. A good rule of thumb is 12 students. However, the Mass Casualty Preparedness class is designed for a large number of people preferably 25 to 50, however we have done the class with 22 people.(It really is more fun, and they learn more as a large group though).
  • Who advertises the course?
That falls on us. We ask you to coordinate with a hotel or two for lodging and provide us their information to be included in the advertisement.
  • What about registering students for the course?
Forensic Foundations takes care of all the registering and billing.
  • When is tuition due?
We ask that all classes be paid 30 days prior to the start date. Payment is quick and easy via our website when you register for the class. The use of a purchase order to guarantee seat reservations can be done but with prior arrangements being made between your agency and Forensic Foundations. Purchase orders are legally binding so even if a student does not show the agency will be billed the full amount if the student did not cancel in the allotted time.
  • Can I cancel my attendance at a class?
Yes, if you cancel 14 days or more prior to the class starting you will get a full refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the start of the class will be refunded their tuition minus a $100 cancellation fee. No shows will be billed the full amount and are not subject to a refund. If an unexpected emergency arises, reach out to Info@csiforensicfoundations.com.
  • If I have paid and can’t go, but someone else from my agency is available, can they go in my place?
Well, yes. However, if it less than 14 days before the class starts, we will still bill you and you will have to deal with your co-worker for the money. If it is more than 14 days out, you can cancel and get a refund and they can register and pay for themselves.
  • What happens if Forensic Foundations cancels or reschedules a class I signed up for?
If we cancel a class, you get a full refund and will be updated when the class will be held again. If we have to reschedule a class, you will be given the choice of a refund or transferring your registration fee to the new class date.
